Philosophy Crash Course Video: Continued
In class, we continued watching and taking notes on the philosophy crash course, this is what I have added to my notes:
- Value Theory:
Ethics: the branch of philosophy that studies and evaluates human conduct
Aesthetics: The branch of philosophy that studies the nature of beauty
- Is there any reason that I should treat, say, strangers differently than the people I love?
-Do I owe anything to myself? What about animals? Or the earth?
- Logic is about reasoning, giving strong arguments that don't fall victim to fallacies
- step 1: try to understand
-step 2: critical evaluation
Tomorrow, we will most likely continue watching the crash course.
